The BIG questions

  • Our hot-desks can be booked from 1 - 10 hours daily. We have 4 desks available within The Open Office each day. Want to book? See our menu and be guided through our booking process. Please note: these desks are not private, if you’d like a private space, book our Meeting Room or email us.*

  • We’re currently fully booked but if we ever have a Full Timer Desk become available, be on our socials or send us an email to be added to the waitlist and Kate will hit you up.

  • Autumn/Winter hours 8am - 6pm
    Spring/Summer hours 8am - 8pm
    Closed weekends for private events.

  • Our venue is available for hire on Saturday & Sunday only with a 6pm finish time on Sundays. Fill out our form below with your event dreams.

  • We have a medium sized private meeting room in the back of our warehouse. It’s furnished with a large desk, 6 office chairs and tech for all your meeting needs. Find your way to our booking section to be guided through our booking process.

  • — Keep your voice to a dull roar
    — Earphones in? Maybe this person is in their flow zone. Leave ‘em be.
    — Keep it professional, relaxed but professional
    — No children please
    — Introduce yourself
    — Let’s keep all phone conversations M rated, otherwise do a blocky
    — Clean up after yourself, don’t be a teenager
    — Need something from Lauren or Kate? Suggestion box it, email or ask in person.
    — Smelly lunches aren’t the cutest, stay ventilated or go outside
    — Park on Cowper St, the laneway is strictly Residents Only
    — Don’t take the stationary, can’t believe we’re writing this…
    — Be kind to thy neighbour
    — Take your food home with you unless it’s in the fridge, we don’t want a bug problem

Our Studio

  • The Casual Lounge

    Designed with the intention for casual conversation and a lazy lunch time lounge around, this space is arguably the favourite in the office.

  • Hot Desks

    We have 5 hot desks available daily, from 1 - 10 hours. Perfect for those times you just need to be amongst the action but can still be productive.

  • Full Timers

    Our ‘Open Office’ is the sun filled office space of our dreams and our ‘Editing Office’ is a low light zone for photographers and content editors.

  • The Editing Zone

    With the growing number of wedding photographers, videographers & content creators… we turned The Patio into a low light editing zone for those editing all day long.

  • Meeting Room for 6

    Our Meeting Room has capacity for 6 people. We have a webcam, microphone = a digital whiteboard for the scribblers.

  • Booth #1

    Booth #1 is a cosy space next to our Meeting Room, it’s perfect for those quick zoom calls or spicy convos. Just jump in & slide it to occupied. These booths are not bookable online, they are free with a Hot Desk booking.

  • Booth #2

    Booth 2 has capacity for 2 seats and a little more room for thought. These booths are not bookable online, they are free with a Hot Desk booking.

  • The Eatery

    For all your lunch time, coffee time and chitty chat time. Our kitchenette is designed around conversation with a high bar on entry and low seating throughout.

Collaboration

This space is the collaborative effort of Base Art Space owner Lauren Wiltshire and CHROMA Jewellery owner Kate Fenton. With our combined experience and excitement for creative spaces, we decided to transform this old warehouse into a space that inspires others to collaborate, dream up new ideas and do things a little differently.

Communication

Two ears, one mouth. We are here to learn, evolve, share and create. We practice non-violent communication styles in here, we expect the same from you.

Consideration

Consideration is the key to our shared space working so well. We’ve considered all the finer details so this space feels inviting and inspiring. It’s up to the studio goers to bring their unique vibe whilst considering the people around them.

Community

We are firm believers that community is everything and without this community, our ideas would remain blips in our imagination. Keep it local, support each other and let’s all grow together. Your success is our success.
